Edwin Thomas Trouba was born Feb. 10, 1938, in Garland, to Joseph and Mary (Kunasek) Trouba and passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at his household at the age of 83 yrs, 6 months and 26 times. Ed grew up in the Dwight spot where by he graduated from Dwight Assumption Catholic University. He served in the U.S. Military National Guard from July 2, 1956, right until July 2, 1964.
Ed enjoyed participating in basketball in his teen and young grownup several years and took delight in being portion of the Dwight Assumption workforce that received the state championship. He experienced a lengthy and distinguished profession at State Farm in Lincoln for far more than 35 decades. Following retirement, Ed attended and graduated from the College of Nebraska-Lincoln. Ed had a quick wit, an inquiring head and a quirky sense of humor. He cherished finding out new factors and was a “doer,” regardless of whether it was putting golfing greens on his land, finding out to engage in a new instrument or marketing watermelons. Ed could strike up a conversation with anybody, and often did! He embodied self-reliance and tricky operate. Ed is survived by his youngsters, Julie Shasteen, Alaska, Deanne Repich (Erik), Texas, Ed Trouba, Wisconsin, Matt Trouba, Costa Rica their mom, Nancy Trouba, Lincoln grandchildren, Alexa Shasteen, Angelena Shasteen, Aria Repich, Kurty Repich, Gianna Trouba and Josephine Trouba good-grandson, Hans Casper Huggler sisters-in-law, Marianne Trouba and Emma Trouba and a lot of nieces, nephews, cousins, pals and neighbors. Ed was preceded in loss of life by his dad and mom brothers, Richard Trouba, Joe Trouba, Leonard Trouba, Emmanuel (Don) Trouba and sister, Mary Ann Cecava daughter, Mary Trouba and granddaughter, Bridget Repich.
The funeral support was Sept. 9 at Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight with burial in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions are proposed to the donor’s option, a Catholic church parish of your picking or to the Czech Language Basis.
